Education
Education is extremely important to one's personal, educational, professional, financial, and interpersonal lives. I believe that a lot of emphasis has been put on how education plays an important role in one being successful in life moreso in regards to future job or career and finances. However, very little focus has been put on the correlation that exists between education and interaction between humans. Education is power and knowledge comes from being educated. Because there is a great percentage of people who have chosen not to advance in their education, a lot of misconceptions, misunderstandings, social problems, fights, killings, suicides, and death have come about. All of the tradegies just mentioned have even occurred on the family level. Family members are getting into arguements; family structures are breaking down, which have led to separations, divorces, and even capital murder. I wonder if everyone would focus on becoming more educated, would violence go down? Would family structures get stronger? Would separations and divorce rates decrease? Would education be the answer to stopping abuse? Should education be required for a lifetime? Should each person be required to accomplish a certain number of "re-certification" points each year to ensure that each person was held accountable for learning, activating new knowledge, and being in control of their actions? Hmmm...is education the answer?
